The Juniper is native to Japan. It’s a low-growing evergreen conifer & is closely related to the Chinese Juniper.
The Juniper grows well in all parts of South Africa, takes easily from cuttings and is easy to train.
•Placement-The Juniper loves bright light. The tree can be placed either indoors or outdoors, provided that they are given the right amount of light, water, temperature & humidity in order to survive in any condition. 4-6 hours of very bright or direct light is essential.
Outdoors we shoot for full sun exposure.
Ideal placement would offer morning sun and afternoon shade.
•Watering- Soil should stay consistently moist-not overly wet, constantly soaked or soggy.
Shoot for watering when the top soil begins to dry out. Spray the foliage daily during the growing season.
Tip: water when the soil is moderately dry (to a depth of 1/2 inch to 1 inch but do not let the soil dry out completely).
•Pruning-enquire for detailed instructions on pruning.
